Signs your NetSuite project needs a rescue

One or two is normal friction. Several at once means the plan has to change.

Before go-live

  • The go-live date has moved more than once
  • Migrated data still doesn't tie to the old system
  • The same processes keep failing in testing
  • Your partner has left or stopped answering

After go-live

  • Month-end still runs in spreadsheets
  • Deferred revenue or intercompany doesn't tie to the GL
  • Integrations fail without sending an alert
  • Your team works around NetSuite instead of in it

Wherever your project stands

Your partner is still on the project

We give you a second opinion on where it stands. We can take on one piece alongside them, or the whole project.

Your partner has left

We work from the account itself. First we secure the logins, integrations and code they still control, then we find out what was built.

Your own team built it

We work with your NetSuite owner, fix what's broken and write down how it works so your team can run it.

How a rescue runs

  1. First call

A free call about where the project stands. We tell you whether a rescue makes sense.

  2. Assessment

Our tools scan the account and we run workshops with the people who use it. You get a written list of what's broken, what it costs you and what to fix first.

    About the assessment
  3. Fix

A fixed price and a date for the agreed scope. Every change goes into a sandbox first and is tested with your real transactions.

  4. Hand over

Your team gets the account back with notes on how it works, or we keep running it through Managed Services.

What we usually keep, and what we fix

Rebuilding everything is rarely the answer. This is what a typical rescue looks like.

Taking over from another partner

When a partner leaves, parts of your account still run under their name. We secure these before we change anything else.

  • Integration users and tokens still tied to the old partner
  • Administrator roles held by people who have left
  • Script source code and the deployment project
  • File transfers and scheduled jobs running under their logins
  • Approvals and email alerts sent to their addresses
  • Sandboxes that a refresh would wipe

How a rescue is priced

You know the price before fix work starts. NetSuite licences and third-party subscriptions are paid to those vendors, not to us.

Questions before a rescue

What is a NetSuite rescue?

A rescue takes over a NetSuite project that has stalled before go-live or is live but not working. We find what's broken, keep the work that holds up and fix the rest, instead of starting over.

Do we have to start over?

Rarely. Your licences, subsidiaries, items, customers and most of your data usually carry over. The assessment shows what to keep, what to fix and what has to be rebuilt.

Can you work alongside our current partner?

Yes. We can give a second opinion, take on one piece of the work or take over the whole project.

Our partner has left. What do you need from us?

Administrator access to production and the sandbox, and anything you still have from the project: contracts, design documents and the issue list. We secure the logins and integrations the old partner controls before we change anything.

How long does a rescue take?

It depends on how much of the existing work holds up. The assessment ends with a written plan that gives a date and a price before any fix work starts.

How is a rescue priced?

The first call is free. The assessment has a set fee, quoted before we start. Fix work is usually a fixed price for the agreed scope. NetSuite licences and third-party subscriptions are paid to those vendors, not to us.

Are you an Oracle partner?

No. VCG is independent of Oracle and doesn't sell NetSuite licences. Our consultants are NetSuite certified.

How fast will we hear back?

Within one business day of getting in touch.
